Our first close up view of the ocean in Bacon.
From the Sirangan Beach Resort we were able to get to the beach. However, the wind was blowing pretty hard and the waves were crashing against the rock wall in the picture below. I decided to step down a couple of stairs to get a better picture of the Smiths with the Beach Resort in the background.
This picture was taken just moments before I was drenched by a huge wave. Apparently, President Smith said to Amy, "Get your camera ready, she's going to get wet!"
Amy took this picture just after I was drenched.
Amy, feeling brave, stepped down on the beach to take a picture of her feet in the sand.
And then a big wave got her before she could get back up the stairs.

We returned to Sorsogon to rest a bit. Amy and I decided to walk down to an Internet Cafe and email family and friends. Later that afternoon we took a drive up to the Bacman Geothermal Production Field. About 20% of the Philippines' energy is Geothermal energy (energy derived from heat stored in the earth).
Unfortunately, we were not able to take a tour of the facility, but it was still a beautiful drive up the mountain.
That evening we drove out to the pier to see the sunset.
